Stocks to Watch on November 12, 2024: Hindalco, ONGC, Britannia, Ambuja and More Will be in Focus

Indian markets are likely to be impacted today amid mixed global cues. GIFT Nifty futures are trading flat with a slight negative bias at ₹24,224.5. 

On Monday, the BSE Sensex dropped by 55.47 points (0.07%) to close at 79,486.32, while the Nifty50 declined 51.15 points (0.21%) to 24,148.20.

Q2 Earnings Announcements

Several companies are scheduled to release their Q2 earnings today, including FSN E-Commerce Ventures (Nykaa), Hyundai Motor India, Zydus Lifesciences, Bosch, General Insurance Corporation of India, Ashoka Buildcon, Cello World, CESC, EIH, Finolex Cables, Samvardhana Motherson International, Natco Pharma, Sula Vineyards, Sunteck Realty, and others.

Key Results Highlights

• Hindalco 

Hindalco shares in focus as it reported a net profit of ₹3,909 crore, marking a 78% increase from ₹2,196 crore last year. Revenue rose 7.4% to ₹58,203 crore from ₹54,169 crore a year ago.

• Britannia

Britannia shares in focus as it posted a 9.6% decrease in net profit to ₹531.5 crore in Q2FY25, down from ₹587.59 crore a year prior. Revenue grew 5.1% to ₹4,713.6 crore from ₹4,485.23 crore.

• Jubilant FoodWorks

Jubilant FoodWorks shares in focus as the parent of Domino’s India, reported a consolidated net profit of ₹66.53 crore for Q2FY25, compared to ₹97.2 crore a year earlier. Revenue increased to ₹1,954.72 crore from ₹1,368.6 crore.

• Godfrey Phillips

Godfrey Phillips shares in focus as it saw a 23% rise in consolidated net profit to ₹248.31 crore in Q2FY25, up from ₹202.06 crore a year ago. Revenue also increased to ₹1,651.42 crore from ₹1,374.55 crore.

• ONGC

ONGC shares in focus as it reported a 17% rise in standalone profit to ₹11,984 crore in Q2FY25, up from ₹10,238.1 crore in the previous year.

• Vedanta

Vedanta shares in focus, as the metals giant plans to invest around $500 million in AvanStrate Inc., a global display glass manufacturer in which Vedanta secured a 98% stake earlier this year.

• Ambuja Cements

Ambuja Cements shares in focus, It is part of the Gautam Adani-led group, the company has applied to the Competition Commission of India (CCI) to acquire a majority stake in Orient Cement, a CK Birla Group company, in an ₹8,100 crore deal.
