The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC) and the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to improve passenger travel through the ‘One India – One Ticket’ initiative.
This collaboration will allow passengers to book NCRTC QR code-based tickets seamlessly when purchasing online tickets through the IRCTC platform for rail, air, or bus travel. With this new feature, passengers using both Indian Railways and RRTS services can easily book and travel.
The option to book RRTS tickets for up to eight travellers will appear on the PNR confirmation page and will be accessible in the user’s train ticket booking history. A unique QR code will be generated for each RRTS ticket and printed on the Electronic Reservation Slip (ERS). These QR codes will be valid for 4 days, covering the day before, the day of, and 2 days after the RRTS journey date. Each passenger will receive their own RRTS ticket with a dedicated QR code, ensuring a smooth travel experience.
RRTS tickets can be booked up to 120 days in advance, matching the current Railway reservation window. Confirmation and the QR code details will be sent to the registered mobile number and email address via SMS and email.
