LG Electronics India has launched a new range of semi-automatic washing machines, adding 15 models with capacities ranging from 8 kg to 12 kg. The company announced the launch on September 22, 2026, in an exchange filing.
The range includes models with different washing and drying functions, along with changes to the body and lid design. Selected machines have toughened glass lids with a soft-closing mechanism. Colour options include Onyx Black, Middle Black, and Burgundy.
Features Across the New Range
The machines come with a Dual Spin Shower, which uses two water inlets to rinse detergent from clothes. Roller Jet Pulsator+ creates water movement inside the tub to help circulate clothes and remove dirt.
The Ultra Scrub Wall is for areas including cuffs and collars. The New Smart Filter collects lint during the wash cycle and can be taken out for cleaning.
Wind Jet Dry+ works during the spinning cycle to remove excess moisture. The machines also have 3+1 wash programmes and Rat Away Technology. Features and specifications vary between models.
Production at Greater Noida Plant
The new machines are being manufactured at LG’s Greater Noida facility in Uttar Pradesh. The plant uses automation, robotics, and automated guided vehicles, as well as AI-enabled systems for factory operations.
LG said the production process includes 100% quality checks, AI vision inspection and testing at NABL-accredited laboratories. The company has manufacturing facilities at Greater Noida and Ranjangaon, Maharashtra.
Exports Planned from 2027
LG said exports of its AX semi-automatic washing machines are scheduled to begin in 2027. The company plans to supply the machines to more than 10 countries.
