NFO Alert: SBI Mutual Fund Launches SBI Balanced Hybrid Fund

SBI Mutual Fund has launched its Balanced Hybrid Fund, with the New Fund Offer (NFO) opening on August 10, 2026. The subscription window will remain open until August 24, 2026.
The scheme is an open-ended fund in the hybrid: balanced hybrid category. There is no lock-in period for investors.
Investment Pattern
The scheme will invest in both equity and debt instruments. Its stated objective is to generate long-term capital appreciation and income through these investments.
The fund will use the NIFTY 50 Hybrid Composite Debt 50:50 Index as its benchmark. The riskometer for the scheme is marked ‘Very High’.
Minimum Investment
The minimum amount required to invest in the NFO is ₹5,000. The scheme will have Growth and IDCW options.
Under IDCW, investors can choose between fortnightly and monthly plans. The scheme does not have a lock-in period, although an exit load applies to specific redemptions.
Exit Load
A 1% exit load will apply when units exceeding 10% of the investment are redeemed within one year of purchase.
The charge applies to the portion covered by the exit-load condition. Redemptions within the specified limit are not subject to this particular charge.
Fund Managers
Tanmaya Desai and Rajeev Radhakrishnan are the fund managers for the scheme. They will manage investments across the equity and debt portions of the portfolio.
The fund is offered by the SBI Mutual Fund. Its investment mandate is limited to equity and debt instruments, with the portfolio managed within the balanced hybrid category.
NFO Details
The NFO will be available for subscription for 15 days, ending on August 24, 2026. After the NFO period, the scheme will remain open-ended, allowing transactions according to the applicable scheme terms.
The fund carries a ‘Very High’ risk rating, while the minimum investment is ₹5,000 and there is no lock-in period.
