Share Market Pre Open Updates – May 08, 2024

On May 07, 2024, Nifty 50 slipped 0.62%, closing at 22,302, and Sensex dropped 0.52%, closing at 73,511. 

Top Gainers and Losers

On the sectoral front, Nifty FMCG and Nifty IT ended in green. Meanwhile, Nifty Realty, Nifty Metal, Nifty PSU Bank and Nifty MidSmall Healthcare were declining. The top gainers were Marico, Godrej Consumer Products, Hindustan Unilever and Dabur India, which showed positive movement. On the other hand, SRF, Varun Beverages, Indian Railway Finance Corporation and Bajaj Auto were the top losers of the day.

Kajaria Ceramics and Hindustan Zinc were in the news on May 07, 2024.

• Kajaria Ceramics reported a consolidated year-on-year revenue of ₹1,240 crore, which is approximately a 3% increase. As a result, the company’s share price increased by 1%, closing at ₹1,184.
• Hindustan Zinc announced an interim dividend of ₹10 per share. Despite this news, the share price of the company declined by 3%, closing at ₹449.
