Share Market Pre Open Updates – February 14, 2024

On February 13, 2024, the Nifty 50 and Sensex saw gains, increasing by 0.59% and 0.68% to close at 21,743 and 71,555, respectively. Both Foreign Institutional Investors (FII) and Domestic Institutional Investors (DII) showed buying activity worth ₹376 crore and ₹273 crore, respectively.

Top Gainers and Losers

The Nifty Financial Services 25/50, Nifty Private Bank, Nifty Bank and Nifty Financial Services sectors experienced gains in the sectoral landscape. Conversely, the Nifty Metal and Nifty Media sectors saw declines. The top gainers were Bosch, Coal India, UPL and Cholamandalam Investment & Finance, while the top losers included Hindalco, Grasim, Adani Energy Solutions and Adani Total Gas.

Hindustan Aeronautics and Berger Paints made headlines on February 13, 2024.

• Hindustan Aeronautics experienced a 7% increase in year-on-year standalone revenue for the Q3 FY2024, amounting to ₹6,061 crore, leading to a ~3% rise in its share price to ₹2,915.
• The share price of Berger Paints also increased by ~2%, closing at ₹558 after the news that the company has been allotted 80 acres manufacturing plant in Odisha.
