Upper Circuit Stocks Today – Stocks Locked in Upper Circuit on 8 August, 2023

On Tuesday, the benchmark indices were trading flat with Sensex down around 33 points or 0.05% at 65,921 and the Nifty-50 down around 13 points or 0.062% at 19,585. About 1,868 shares have advanced, 1,408 declined, and 177 are unchanged on the BSE.

Top gainers and losers on BSE Sensex Index are as follows:

The top Sensex gainers were Tech Mahindra Ltd, Axis Bank and Wipro Ltd whereas the top Sensex losers were Sun Pharmaceuticals, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd and Power Grid Corporation of India.

The BSE Bankex Index Index was the top gaining among the sectorial indices and BSE Utilities Index was the top losing sector. The BSE Bankex Index soared 0.60%, led by Bank of Baroda and Canara Bank while the BSE Utilities Index was down 0.80% dragged down by Orient Green Power Company Ltd and Reliance Infrastructure Ltd.

The indices in the broader markets were trading higher, with the BSE Mid-cap index up 0.39% and the BSE Small-cap index up 0.46%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd and Macrotech Developers Ltd while the top small-cap gainers were Universal Cables Ltd and Ethos Ltd.
