Coforge Share Price in Focus; Introduces Value Gates Framework for AI Investments

Coforge has introduced a new framework for companies working on generative and agentic AI projects. Called the Value Gates Framework, it is designed to help businesses check whether an AI initiative is producing measurable value as it moves through different stages.
The framework comes as many organisations are trying to move AI projects beyond pilots and proofs of concept. Coforge's approach puts greater focus on the business results attached to an AI project rather than treating deployment itself as the measure of success.
Framework Tracks Business Value
The Value Gates Framework uses checkpoints across the AI project lifecycle. These cover business impact, user adoption, governance, data readiness, operational feasibility and return on investment.
Coforge said the checkpoints are intended to give enterprises a way to assess whether an AI initiative is creating demonstrable value as development progresses. The company also said the approach can help identify projects with a stronger business case before additional resources are committed.
Coforge Links AI Delivery With Outcomes
Anup Nair, Chief AI Commercial Officer at Coforge, said some organisations can mistake the successful delivery of an AI solution for the delivery of business value. According to him, continuously checking outcomes can help improve adoption, governance and investment decisions around AI initiatives.
The framework therefore places value checks at different points instead of waiting until the end of an AI project to assess its results. Coforge said this can also reduce the risk of scaling initiatives that have limited business impact.
New Paper Explains The Framework
Coforge has also published a thought leadership paper titled Value-First AI Project Management: A Value Gates Framework.
The paper covers the framework's principles and provides guidance on AI governance, investment discipline and value realisation.
