Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Navratna Defence Public Sector Undertaking, has announced the acquisition of additional orders exceeding ₹500 crore since its last disclosure on September 11, 2024.

The new orders include EMI shelters, Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC) for Integrated Air Command and Control system nodes, upgrades and spares for gun systems, as well as spares for radars and communication systems.

Earlier, on September 11, 2024, BEL informed the exchanges of securing a major order worth ₹850 crore from Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) for the supply of indigenous Multi-Function Radar in X Band. This advanced radar, designed by DRDO and manufactured by BEL, is a fully indigenous solution capable of detecting, acquiring, and tracking airborne targets to enhance the protection of naval vessels.

In addition to this, BEL had previously announced on August 22, 2024, that it secured orders worth ₹305 crore. These orders comprised a navigational complex system for ships, thermal imagers, communication equipment, fire control systems, gun control systems, and related spares and services.

With these fresh orders, BEL’s total order book for the current financial year now stands at an impressive ₹7,689 crore.

The recent order inflow further strengthens BEL’s position as a key supplier of critical defence equipment in India. The company’s commitment to indigenous development and manufacturing aligns with the government’s ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ initiative, aimed at boosting self-reliance in defence production.
