Bank of India Mutual Fund has filed a draft scheme information deed (SID) with the market regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India to launch the Bank of India Consumption Fund. It is an open-ended equity scheme following a consumption theme.
The Investment objective of the Bank of India Consumption Fund is to provide long-term capital appreciation from an actively managed portfolio of equity and equity-related securities of companies engaged in consumption and consumption-related sectors or allied sectors. However, there is no assurance that the investment objective of this open-ended scheme will be achieved.

Bank of India MF stated that it is witnessing an increase in consumption in India given the shift inter-alia from unorganised to organised sector, premium categories and narrowing of rural and urban consumption gap. Bank of India AMC believes that factors like these will drive strong consumption spending in the coming decades.
