On Monday, Reliance Industries share price is in focus as Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) is set to execute its 1:1 bonus share issue, with October 28, 2024, marked as the record date. 

Reliance Bonus Share Details

Investors who purchased shares by the close of market on Friday, October 25, 2024, will be eligible for the bonus shares. On Monday, RIL shares will turn ex-date for the issuance, meaning those holding shares at the end of Friday’s trading session will receive one bonus equity share for each share they hold. This effectively doubles shareholders’ holdings without requiring any additional investment, with each bonus share holding a face value of ₹10.

The bonus issue announcement follows shareholder approval and board consent, as detailed in company releases on September 5, 2024, and October 16, 2024. 

When Reliance Bonus Shares Are Credited?

Reliance bonus shares will be credited to the eligible shareholders’ demat accounts after the record date of October 28, 2024. Those who purchased shares before the market closes on October 25, 2024, will qualify for the 1:1 bonus issue.

Reliance Share Price Performance

On October 28, 2024, Reliance share price opened at ₹1,337.00, down from its previous close of ₹2,655.70. At 9:47 AM, RIL share price was trading at ₹1,327.45, down by 0.03%. On July 8, 2024, Reliance Industries share price touched its 52-week high at ₹1,608.80.

Reliance Industries Q2 FY25 Financial Highlights

Reliance Industries released its Q2 FY25 financial performance, which showed stable gross revenue year-over-year, totalling ₹2,58,027 crore ($30.8 billion). However, EBITDA saw a slight decline of 2.0% Y-o-Y to ₹43,934 crore ($5.2 billion), impacted by various operational costs. Profit After Tax (PAT), including the share of profit or loss from Associates and Joint Ventures (JVs), also experienced a Y-o-Y decrease, totalling ₹19,323 crore ($2.3 billion).
