Akhil Dhar

Akhil Dhar is a fixed-income fund manager and credit analyst at PGIM India Mutual Fund with a strong background in debt markets, credit evaluation, and risk assessment. He holds a B.E. in Electrical Engineering and a PGDBM in Finance, and has developed expertise through roles in banking, credit rating agencies, and asset management. Before joining PGIM India, Dhar worked with IndusInd Bank, CARE Ratings, and India Ratings & Research, where he analysed corporate credit profiles and debt instruments across sectors. Appointed as Fund Manager and Credit Analyst – Fixed Income in February 2026, he currently manages or co-manages liquid, money market, corporate bond, ultra-short duration, dynamic bond, and gilt funds, with a focus on credit quality, liquidity management, and risk-adjusted returns.
