Sameer Kate

Sameer Kate is a Fund Manager – Equity at quant Mutual Fund with more than two decades of experience in Indian equity and derivatives markets. He holds a Bachelor of Computer Science degree from Pune University and an MBA from IME Pune. Before joining Quant Mutual Fund, Sameer worked as a Senior Sales Trader at Investec Capital, where he handled equity and derivatives trading for domestic and foreign institutional investors. Prior to that, he spent over 16 years at Kotak Securities as a Sales Trader, building extensive expertise in market execution, liquidity analysis and institutional trading. At Quant Mutual Fund, he serves as a Money Manager focused on Liquidity Analytics and contributes to the management of multiple equity and hybrid schemes. His responsibilities include analysing market liquidity trends, evaluating risk appetite indicators and supporting portfolio positioning decisions. Sameer’s deep understanding of market microstructure, trading behaviour and capital flows enables him to identify investment opportunities across changing market conditions. His experience across institutional trading and fund management has made him an important contributor to Quant Mutual Fund’s data-driven and quantitative investment framework.
