About DB Commodity Tracking PowerShares

PowerShares DB Commodity Index Tracking Fund (the Fund) is organized as a Delaware statutory trust. The Fund is based on the DBIQ Optimum Yield Diversified Commodity Index Excess Return (the Index). The Fund invests with a view to tracking the changes, whether positive or negative, in the level of the Index over time, plus the excess, if any, of the Fund’s interest income from its holdings of the United States Treasury Obligations and other high credit quality short-term fixed income securities over the expenses of the Fund. The Fund invests in sectors, such as light sweet crude oil (WTI), heating oil, natural gas, Brent crude, gold, silver, aluminum, zinc, copper grade A, corn, wheat, soybeans and sugar.
